Sometimes, we are required to hide a specific field or an answer in our Google form, for example, we do not want to show an application ID, customer, or client ID, those are processed by the system, and we do not want to provide an option to change it by the user while filling out the form. Google Forms does not provide an option to hide a specific field, Neither provide options to disable or make it non-editable. But you can do so by using the Pretty Forms Designer Add-on. In this article, we will guide you on How to hide a question in Google Forms using the Pretty Forms Designer Add-on.

Prerequisite: Install & Setup Pretty Forms Designer Addon on your Google form, if not already done. Then open the Pretty Form Designer.

Note: Hiding a question item should be used with the option by providing the default answer value to the hidden question item or in the pre-filled form link.

Note: The question must be a non-required question that needs to be hidden.

Please follow the below steps to Hide a question in Google Forms:

  1. Step 1: Select a question that you need to hide. Then click on the “Options” icon button for the selected question.

  1. Step 2: Click on the “Hide item” to hide that question.

  1. Step 3: You will see the question item is transparent in the form designer. Save your form & check the preview, you will see the question item is hidden in the form. By using the above steps you can unhide the same item.
