This article will guide you on How to change the “Your answer” placeholder text in the Multi-language form in Google Forms. Google Forms does not provide an option to change the placeholder text of the text answer field. For the form in the English language, it is okay to have “Your answer” text, but for the other language forms, you should change the text in the other language.
Please follow the below steps to change the placeholder text in the Multi-language form in Google Forms.
- Step 1: Click on the answer text field to select it, then click on the “Text Answer Field Placeholder” icon button in the top toolbar.
- Step 2: Write the placeholder text “Your answer” or any placeholder text to be displayed in your form when the default language is selected. Click on the “Update Text” to save.
- Step 3: Change to the Additional language under the “For Language” dropdown option. Like We selected the Spanish language. Write the placeholder text in the selected Additional language or click on the “Translate” button to translate the default language text, and then click on the “Update Text” to save.
- Step 4: Change the language from the language dropdown in the form designer header, you will see the placeholder text changes on changing the language.
Finally, Save your form and click the “Preview” button to check your form.
